What is the Political Courage Test?

Alabama Congressional Election 2020 Political Courage Test

Pro-life Do you generally support pro-choice or pro-life legislation?
Pro-life.
No In order to balance the budget, do you support an income tax increase on any tax bracket?
No Do you support expanding federal funding to support entitlement programs such as Social Security and Medicare?
Do this by downsizing Government. Redistribute funds then available from abolished agencies. Don't do it by increased taxes.
No Do you support the regulation of indirect campaign contributions from corporations and unions?
Unknown Position Do you support increasing defense spending?
That would depend on the current funding at that time of establishing budgetary concerns. Of course, if the military is in need of additional funds and well substantiated with good cause, then yes, I would support a reasonable increase.
No Do you support federal spending as a means of promoting economic growth?
Yes Do you support lowering corporate taxes as a means of promoting economic growth?
Often times such a reduction in taxes serves as a stimulus for business growth and development, which would result in an enhanced economy.
Unknown Position Do you support requiring states to adopt federal education standards?
Yes and No. Let me explain: The CORE curriculum is defective and not necessary. The states should be left alone to generate their own curriculum or adopt another company's plan so long as it meets their needs with their student body. BUT, I do feel that it would be advantageous for us as a whole to require certain elements of our country's founding to be taught in all school throughout the land. Far too many young children are oblivious to a full understanding of how and why we live in a free society.
No Do you support government funding for the development of renewable energy (e.g. solar, wind, geo-thermal)?
Unknown Position Do you support the federal regulation of greenhouse gas emissions?
On the question of renewable energy, I would favor a reduction in taxes or instill some tax cut incentives for innovators and new businesses to explore various avenues of new energy. On fed reg of greenhouse gas emissions, the regulations should be in place but relaxed to allow for companies in certain of the country to perform as needed to meet the demand for energy in this country. Far too much emphasis is being placed on "save the planet" issues. Let us run this country first. Let the innovators figure out a way to suppress greenhouse gases.
No Do you generally support gun-control legislation?
On Second Amendment: For any agent of the Federal Government to even utter the words, "gun control" places them at our, We the People's threshold of infringement. I would push for the repeal of many of the current gun laws. On the other hand, in light of all of the non-American factions which have entered this country, background checks are in order.
Yes Do you support repealing the 2010 Affordable Care Act ("Obamacare")?
That does not mean I do not want Americans to have health care. What it does mean is that I would support placing the ACA into the hands of the private sector insurance companies and get the government out of their way with fair and equitable means of competing with each other in a fair market.
Yes Do you support the construction of a wall along the Mexican border?
Yes Do you support requiring immigrants who are unlawfully present to return to their country of origin before they are eligible for citizenship?
Building the wall: yes and any other inland border eventually will be violated. Illegal immigration: because no other country adjacent to ours will be able to handle them. Also, we should streamline our immigration processing as much as possible. Any laws allowing for the formation of Sanctuary States or Cities should be immediately repealed.
Yes Should the United States use military force to prevent governments hostile to the U.S. from possessing a weapon of mass destruction (for example: nuclear, biological, chemical)?
Unknown Position Do you support reducing military intervention in Middle East conflicts?
Reduction of Military intervention in the Mid East. Generally Yes. However, we must maintain a military presence in that area at all times. Israel is our ally and we must be ready to defend Israel.
No Do you generally support removing barriers to international trade (for example: tariffs, quotas, etc.)?
On international trade. For too long other countries have taken advantage of our country. Politicians have just given in to their wants to the point that we were losing money and businesses overseas. Much of that has been resolved by the Trump Administration.
1. Repeal the ACA. It is the most gov encroaching laws since 1916 taxation. 2. Treat Biased Media as a monopoly. Split it up into separate entities as they started, ABC, NBC, CBS, etc. Let them compete for the first release of the truthful story. 3. Reinstate the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952. 4. Establish a National Voter ID Card for each American Citizen to use at each Polling Place. 5. Mandatory education on the elements of our country's founding.
